Our House
Our three-story 1939 garden lane house belonged to the family of a Chinese medical doctor. Three generations grew up and grew old in this house, witnessing the World War II, the beginning of New China, the Cultural Revolution, and the transformation of modern-day Shanghai.
Much of the house's original art deco designs have been preserved, with some spaces creatively adapted to suit modern living. Upon entering our front garden, an oasis of green welcomes you. On the ground floor is our 808 Private Kitchen where breakfast is served daily. You may also have lunch or dinner at the ground floor. On the second and third floors are our four guestrooms, Grand Cathay, Joffre, Bubbling Well, and Fleur de Shanghai. On the top floor is a unique loft room, Aurora, as well as a pleasant rooftop terrace, where guests can soak up the sun or just chill out.
