Our Neighborhood: French Concession

Quintet is located in the historic French Concession, south of the famed Jingan Temple, and away from the hustle and bustle of downtown. Guests will get a taste of Old Shanghai as they stroll down charming streets and byways lined with tall plane trees in the neighborhood. Wonderfully preserved old residences can be spotted everywhere, and quite a few now house eclectic shops, cafés and restaurants. Venture into the hidden alleyways, or longtangs, to catch glimpses of local Shanghainese life. The vibrant Huaihai Road, coined the Champs-Élysées of Shanghai, as well as the trendy Changle Road and Xinle Road are a stone’s throw away, where the latest fashions are on display. Guests can also conveniently access subway lines 1, 2 and 7 to explore sights such as Xintiandi, People’s Park, Shanghai Museum, the Bund, Pudong's Oriental Pearl Tower and the Jin Mao Tower across the Huangpu River.
