Four Seasons in Our Yard

We had had a hard time taking good care of our plants in the yard, but things have changed after the professional gardener Mr. Wu joined us several years ago. :) Now we have different views in different seasons. 

Summer here is long from June to September. With high temperature and abundant rainfall, the city can be very sweltering at this time.  However, we city kids still feel very excited about the early summer time! The grapevine climbing on the rooftop will produce bunches of grapes. Though these grapes are too sour to eat, our chef Weili will use them to make wine. So one of the advantage to visit us in Summer is that you might be lucky enough to be treated a glass of house-made vintage. :D

Maple leaves turn red in late autumn

Autumn comes in October and November. While maple leaves turn red, life can be so full of poetic sentiment at this moment. You might like to bike around the French Concession to catch the last comfortable cool breeze before Winter arrives.

Silent winter

Winter in Shanghai is from December to the next February. Though the coldest time is from late January to early February, you can experience the Chinese New Year during this period. That will be another kind of city view in Shanghai. Not what you might imagine, it is quieter on the streets instead of being busy and bustling. That is because many Shanghai's residents are migrants, Chinese New year is the only time for most of them going back home towns. You might take advantage of the lack of crowds to enjoy a slow-paced vacation.

 The spring from March to May is recommended as the best time to traveling Shanghai. Spring flowers in bloom make Quintet B&B and the city attractive and energetic. You might want to have a cup of coffee and sip it slowly during the breakfast time in our yard (actually our manager Kenny loves this a lot)! Don't be scared if you see him sitting expressionless in the yard. Kenny is just enjoying the beautiful weather with his morning coffee and he is always passionate to answer your questions. :D

Light rain happens occasionally during Spring; with the cozy temperature 20°C (68°F), it is our busy season. So please don't forget to make reservation with us as early as possible. :) Ohhh, and lastly, feel free to walk up to our decked rooftop terrace for some view and fresh air. 

Our rooftop terrace is also another great place to relax.
